Based on feedback from members, we are bringing back “Spliters from the Board,” a short, weekly update from the Board of Trustees.
The updated UUCM Key Policy outlines three types of keys—Executive, User, and Renter’s Keys—each providing varying access levels to church. Executive Keys grant full access and are held by key church leaders, while User Keys allow access to most areas excluding top-floor offices, and Renter’s Keys are limited to the main entry and sanctuary. Key management includes limitations on the number of keyholders per group, the requirement for orientation on the alarm system, and the necessity to return keys if roles change. Authorization for new keys is restricted to the President or Vice President, with annual reviews conducted by the Board of Trustees.
Current keyholders may be required to return their keys to ensure compliance with the new policy.
