There will be two opportunities to discuss the Sunday service on Busting Binaries with Zr. Alex Kaptian and Session 3 of the Trans Inclusion online class.  Please try to attend ONE of these online discussion forums: Jan. 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. OR at 7 p.m. 

Questions to ponder to prepare for these discussions are:
  1. Think of a time when you were harassed, teased, or pressured about some way that you weren't feminine or masculine enough—OR—think of a time when you personally felt as though you weren't feminine or masculine enough.
  2. Reflect on your own biology, expression, and identity. How would you map yourself using the model introduced in this session? How have these things changed over the course of your life? How have the other elements of who you are (age, class, race, sexuality, ability, geography, etc.) impacted your gender?
  3. How did the Sunday service and sermon about Busting Binaries and  Unpacking the Gender Binary help or hinder you in connecting to this material?

How to enroll in the Trans Inclusion in the Congregation online course:  

  1. Go to the course page.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and select the $400 option.
  3. Click "Enroll."
  4. On the next page, click the red text "Add Coupon."
  5. In the box that appears, enter UUMERIDEN and click "Apply" (the total will be adjusted to FREE)
  6. Continue with enrollment.
