On Saturday, January 11, the UUCM Board of Trustees gathered at the Meriden Public Library for a day-long retreat focused on reflecting, planning, and strategizing around the theme of organizational structures to support the church’s mission. Joined by Rev. Tony, the board engaged in thoughtful discussions to evaluate our current operational framework and consider ways to align our structure with UUCM’s vision and values.
The retreat provided an opportunity to explore innovative approaches for enhancing communication, improving efficiency, and ensuring that UUCM remains dedicated to building a loving community, advancing justice, and nurturing spiritual growth. Recognizing the need to adapt as our church continues to grow, we identified several action steps for the months ahead, including revising the organizational chart and planning congregational conversations to involve the wider community.
This time together reinforced our commitment to serving both our congregation and the broader community with intentionality and care. For more information about the Board of Trustees’ work or to get involved, please reach out to Board President Nancy Burton.
